Sport - LOSC - SAISON 2023-2024

LOSC were one of the Major French football teams of the 40s and 50s and have left their mark on the history of French football. The "Dogues", as they are known familiarly, won the French cup five times (1946, 1947, 1948, 1953 and 1955) and the French league twice (1946 and 1954). Since then the club from Lille has always worn its values of combativeness and generosity on their sleeves, in spite of fluctuating results.

At the start of the 21st century the Northern French team returned to the top flight. Only a season after returning to Ligue 1 they achieved a European qualification place. Since then the club from Lille have remained well-established in the top flight, regularly competing in European competitions with a number of memorable successes (victories over Manchester United at the Stade de France in 2005, AC Milan at the San Siro the following year and Fernebahçe and Liverpool in 2010).

Michel Seydoux's project as the club's Director since 2002 is built on both sporting and structural ambitions with the perspective of a very bright future. After the inauguration of its ultra-functional training centre at the Domaine de Luchin in 2007 the club achieved a historic French league and cup double in 2011, confirming their rapid progress over the last decade. Since the opening of the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium the LOSC has continued to combine sporting achievement with ambition, conviviality and emotion. More than ever this truly Northern team is reliving the memories of its past as it prepares to write a new page in its legend at its new 50,000 seat stadium.
